to: Kammergericht Berlin, Z.H. Richterin Hennig Honorary
judge Hennig,
Since May l7th 2001 Harald Glöde, Axel Haug, Matthias
Borgmann, Sabine Eckle and Rudolf Schindler are on trial.
They are accused of being members of the "Revolutionary
Cells" (RZ) according to Paragraph 129a (Membership in
a Terrorist Organisation) and facing charges for two minor
bombings. After their arrest (resp. in December 1999 and May
2000) they have been in prison. All charges issued by the
German Federal Bureau for Prosecution (BAW) are purely based
on evidence given by one chief witness. He once faced the
same charges, but has been released and sentenced to two years
on probation after he turned into a paid chief witness for
the prosecution. According to general legal standards, this
case in very weak indeed.
In reports by the media, statements by leading politicians
and observations by German and international human rights
organisations serious doubts about the constitutional character
of the court case were raised, focusing on the controversial
and contradictory role of the chief witness and the highly
disputed Paragraph 129a.
Therefore t ask you to release the fee imprisoned people
and drop all charges against them!
